Same-day delivery and scheduling

Same-day porta potty delivery runs Monday through Saturday when you call (843) 268-6920 by noon from anywhere in Beaufort County and nearby Jasper, Colleton and Hampton. Trucks run 7 AM to 7 PM, the driver calls about 30 minutes ahead, and nobody has to be home if the spot is marked.

If I call this morning, can I have a porta potty in Beaufort by this afternoon?

A porta potty can usually reach a Beaufort address the same afternoon when you call by noon, Monday through Saturday. We own the trucks and run them out of our yard on Middleton Street, so we can add a stop without waiting on another company.

What's the cutoff time to order a porta potty for today?

Noon is the same-day cutoff for Beaufort County and nearby Jasper, Colleton and Hampton counties. Orders after noon usually go out first thing the next morning. Charleston-area orders do better when you call early in the morning, and Upstate or Midlands jobs need a scheduled date.

How much notice do you normally need to drop off a toilet?

One business day of notice covers most orders in the Lowcountry, and same-day works when you call by noon. Busy spring and fall Saturdays fill up, so book a week or more ahead for a weekend event. Restroom trailers and big festival orders need the most lead time.

Do you deliver porta potties on Saturdays?

Saturday deliveries run 7 AM to 7 PM, the same hours as weekdays, from our yard to Port Royal and beyond. Saturday morning drops work well for a Saturday afternoon party in Beaufort, Port Royal or Lady's Island. Sunday is the one day our trucks stay parked.

Is there any way to get a unit dropped on a Sunday?

Sunday delivery is not offered, so plan on a Friday or Saturday drop for a Sunday event. The unit sits ready at no extra charge, and we pick it up on Monday. A church homecoming or Sunday cookout works fine on that schedule.

Can you give me an exact time the truck will show up?

Drivers work a 7 AM to 7 PM window and call about 30 minutes before they arrive. Exact times shift with the route, bridge traffic and the number of stops that day. If you need a morning drop, say so when you book and we will plan the route around it.

Does somebody have to be there to sign for the porta potty?

Nobody has to be on site for delivery as long as the spot is clearly marked. Put out a cone, flag, ribbon or a note where the unit should go. The driver sets the unit, takes a photo if needed and moves on to the next stop.

Is same-day delivery more expensive than booking ahead?

A rush fee of about $75 may apply to same-day orders on days when the route is already full. We always quote that fee before you book, so there is no surprise on the bill. Many same-day orders in Beaufort County carry no rush fee at all.

Can I get a same-day porta potty out to Bluffton or Hilton Head?

Same-day delivery covers Bluffton and Hilton Head Island when you call by noon, Monday through Saturday. Bluffton is about 40 minutes from our Beaufort yard and Hilton Head about 50, so afternoon arrival is common. Gated communities need a vendor pass set up before the truck can enter. See our Hilton Head porta potty rentals page.

My crew shows up tomorrow at 6 AM. Can the toilet be there before they arrive?

A unit for an early crew is best dropped the afternoon before, since trucks start at 7 AM. Mark the spot with a cone or flag and nobody needs to wait for the driver. The unit will be stocked and ready when your crew pulls in.

How fast can you get a portable toilet to Walterboro or Ridgeland?

Walterboro and Ridgeland both fall inside our same-day area when you call by noon. Ridgeland is about 35 minutes from Beaufort and Walterboro about 50, so a midday call usually means an afternoon drop. Next-day morning delivery is easy to schedule too.

Can you get porta potties to Columbia or Greenville this week?

Columbia, Greenville and other Midlands or Upstate cities run on scheduled delivery, so book two to three business days ahead for events. Jobsite units there join a weekly service route. If you call by 9 AM, we will check whether a same-day run is possible, but we can't promise it.

Can I book a porta potty months ahead for a spring wedding?

Booking months ahead is a smart move for spring and fall weekends in the Lowcountry. We lock in your unit type and dates when you sign the rental agreement, and the delivery is set for the day before the event. Restroom trailers book up first.

Can I move my delivery date if the job gets pushed back?

Delivery dates can be moved when you let us know at least 48 hours ahead, with no fee. A change inside 48 hours is usually fine too if the truck has not been dispatched. Call the office and we will slide the order to the new day.

Same-day delivery details

Delivery area and where the unit can go

We deliver across Beaufort County, nearby Jasper, Colleton and Hampton, the Charleston area, and scheduled routes to the Midlands, Pee Dee, Grand Strand and Upstate. A porta potty needs firm, level ground within about 25 feet of where the truck parks and a gate at least 48 inches wide.

What towns around Beaufort do you deliver porta potties to?

Our trucks cover Beaufort, Port Royal, Lady's Island, St. Helena, Burton, Seabrook, Sheldon, Okatie, Bluffton, Hilton Head, Ridgeland, Hardeeville, Yemassee and Walterboro. We also run to the Charleston area and on scheduled routes across South Carolina. The full list of service areas shows every town.

Is delivery included if I live on Lady's Island or in Port Royal?

Delivery and pickup are included in event pricing anywhere in Beaufort County, and that covers Lady's Island and Port Royal. See Lady's Island porta potty rentals. Both sit about 10 minutes from our yard. Farther cities carry a delivery fee that we quote by ZIP code before you book.

How wide does my gate need to be for a porta potty?

A 48-inch gate is the practical minimum for a standard porta potty, which is about 44 inches wide. The extra room lets the crew roll the unit through without scraping. ADA-style units and restroom trailers are much wider and need open truck access instead.

Can the porta potty go in my backyard instead of the driveway?

A backyard spot works when the path is firm, the gate is at least 48 inches wide and the unit sits within about 25 feet of where the service truck can park. That 25-foot limit matters because the pump hose has to reach the tank. Steps or steep slopes on the path can rule out a backyard drop.

How close does the truck need to get to where the toilet sits?

The unit should sit within about 25 feet of where our service truck can park. That distance lets the driver set the unit by hand and lets the pump hose reach the tank for cleaning. Farther spots make weekly service hard or impossible.

Can a porta potty sit on soft sand at a Lowcountry beach house?

A porta potty can sit on packed sand, but loose or soft sand lets the unit lean or sink. We look for the firmest, flattest patch near the drive and may use a base board. Our guide on placing units on sand and marsh ground explains what to look for.

Will your truck get stuck in my yard after a heavy rain?

Our trucks stay on driveways and firm ground and do not drive across soggy lawns. After heavy rain, we set the unit at the edge of the drive or the nearest firm spot. Marsh-side lots in Burton and on St. Helena often need a spot closer to the road.

What do I do to get a porta potty delivered inside a gated community?

Gated communities need a vendor pass or gate code arranged before delivery day, as our gated community delivery guide explains. Give us the community name when you book, and set up the pass through your property manager or the gate office. A truck turned away at the gate means a delayed drop and possibly a return-trip charge.

Does my HOA have to sign off before I put a porta potty out?

HOA rules on temporary toilets vary by neighborhood, so check with your board before delivery. Many associations around Bluffton and Hilton Head only ask that the unit sit out of street view. We can place the unit beside the garage or behind a fence when the ground and access allow.

Can you set a toilet on a vacant lot with no address yet?

A lot with no street number is fine if you give us the nearest address, a cross street or a map pin. Mark the exact spot with a flag or cone. The driver calls about 30 minutes ahead in case anything is unclear.

Is it okay to put the porta potty right on my lawn?

A porta potty sits fine on flat, firm grass, and most backyard parties use a lawn spot. Avoid low spots that hold water after rain. The unit may leave a square of yellowed grass that recovers in a week or two.

How far from my house should the porta potty go?

A porta potty works best 10 to 20 feet from the house, downwind if you can, and within about 25 feet of where the truck can park. Keep it off septic lids, well heads and sprinkler heads. A spot near a light helps guests at evening events.

Can a portable toilet be placed on a downtown Beaufort street?

Placing a unit on a public street or sidewalk usually needs city approval, so confirm with the City of Beaufort permit office first. In the Historic District, a driveway or side-yard spot is easier, as our historic Beaufort remodel guide explains. Narrow streets in the Point and the Old Commons area also make truck parking tight.

Do you deliver to islands like Fripp, Dataw or Daufuskie?

Fripp and Dataw are reachable by truck once the gate pass is arranged with the community. Daufuskie has no bridge, so delivery there takes a special barge plan and a custom quote. Call us with the island and date and we will tell you what is possible.

What happens if the spot I picked turns out to be too soft or too tight?

The driver picks the closest safe, level spot if your marked area won't work. He will call you before setting the unit somewhere different. If no workable spot exists, we will talk through other options before leaving.

Can a porta potty go up on a deck or a dock?

Decks and docks are poor spots for a porta potty because the service truck can't reach them and the weight is a concern. A full standard unit weighs several hundred pounds. Set the unit on firm ground at the head of the dock or beside the deck stairs instead.

Choosing the right unit

A standard porta potty fits most parties and job sites, a deluxe flushing unit adds a sink, an ADA-style unit gives wheelchair users room to turn, and restroom trailers suit weddings. Hand wash stations pair with any toilet. Trailers need power and water; the other units need none.

What's inside a regular porta potty?

A standard porta potty holds a toilet seat over a tank of about 60 gallons, a urinal, a toilet paper holder, a hand sanitizer dispenser and a roof vent. The unit arrives cleaned and stocked. There is no running water or sink in a standard model.

How big is a standard portable toilet?

A typical standard porta potty is about 44 inches wide, 48 inches deep and 90 inches tall. The empty unit weighs around 200 pounds. That size fits beside most driveways and through a gate that is at least 48 inches wide.

Is a flushing porta potty worth the extra money?

A deluxe flushing unit is worth it for weddings, showers and parties where guests expect a nicer restroom. The foot-pump flush hides the tank, and the built-in sink lets people wash up. For a crew or a casual cookout, a standard unit does the job for less. See the deluxe flushing porta potty details.

How many flushes can the deluxe unit handle before it runs dry?

The fresh-water tank in a deluxe unit is good for about 50 flushes before it needs a refill. That covers a typical party with a modest guest count. Larger or longer events can add a second unit or a mid-event service visit.

What makes a handicap porta potty different?

An ADA-style unit is about 87 inches square, with a ground-level floor, a 60-inch turning space and grab bars. A wheelchair rolls straight in with no step. We call the unit wheelchair-accessible, and you should confirm any site rules with your permit office.

Do I need a handicap-accessible unit for a public event?

The 2010 ADA Standards call for at least 5% of portable toilets in each cluster to be accessible, so most public events need at least one. Private backyard parties often add one for older guests. Confirm what your event needs with the venue or permit office. Read more on our ADA-style porta potty page.

Does a portable hand washing station need to hook up to a hose?

A hand wash station needs no hose or power. Each station has two foot-pump sinks, soap and paper towels, with its own fresh-water tank good for about 400 washes per fill. Dirty water drains into a separate holding tank that we empty at pickup or service.

Is hand sanitizer enough or should I add a sink station?

Hand sanitizer is fine for a short backyard party, but a sink station is the better choice when food is served or crews handle dirt and chemicals. Running water and soap clean hands better than gel alone. A hand wash station rental pairs with any toilet.

What's a restroom trailer and how is it different from a porta potty?

A restroom trailer is a towed unit with separate stalls, flushing toilets, sinks, mirrors, lights and climate control. Guests feel like they are using an indoor bathroom. See restroom trailer rentals. Trailers need a standard 110-volt, 20-amp outlet nearby, a garden hose or onboard water and level ground.

What size restroom trailer do I need for 150 wedding guests?

A 2-stall restroom trailer handles a small to mid-size wedding, and a 3-stall trailer is the safer choice for about 150 guests or an open bar. Long receptions and heavy drinking push the count up. Our porta potty sizing guide walks through guest counts.

What's a VIP restroom cabin?

A VIP cabin is a single-room luxury restroom with a flushing toilet, a real sink and nicer finishes than a porta potty. One VIP restroom cabin suits a bridal party, a small backyard wedding or a sponsor tent. Ask about water and power needs when you book.

Can I order a mix of standard units and a trailer for one event?

One order can combine a restroom trailer, standard units, an ADA-style unit and hand wash stations. Many weddings put the trailer near the reception and a couple of standard units near parking. Delivery is planned as one trip when the site allows.

Which porta potty is best for a construction crew?

A standard porta potty is the usual choice for a construction crew, paired with a hand wash station when workers handle concrete, paint or chemicals. Standard units are tough, easy to service weekly and light enough to move between phases. See our construction site toilet page.

Are the units you send to parties the same ones used on job sites?

Event units are selected for clean shells and arrive washed, sanitized and stocked with paper and sanitizer. Jobsite units are built the same way but get weekly service on site. Both types are cleaned between every rental.

Do you have porta potties with lights inside for night events?

Standard units have a translucent roof that lets in daylight but gets dark at night. For evening events, place the units near existing lights or add battery lights along the path. Restroom trailers and VIP cabins have built-in lighting when they have power.

How many uses does one porta potty hold before it's full?

A standard porta potty is rated for about 200 uses between services. A busy party with drinks fills a unit faster than a quiet work crew. When guest counts climb, add another unit rather than pushing one past its limit.

Compare all rental units

Prices, fees and payment

A standard event porta potty starts from about $225 for up to four days with delivery and pickup in Beaufort County. Jobsite units run about $200 to $290 per 28-day cycle with weekly service. Every quote shows unit, dates, service, delivery and tax before you book.

How much does it cost to rent a porta potty for a weekend in Beaufort?

A standard porta potty for a weekend in Beaufort County starts from about $225 before tax. That price covers up to four days, delivery, pickup and a clean, stocked unit. The exact number depends on your ZIP, dates and how many units you need.

What's the price of a handicap porta potty for an event?

An ADA-style unit for an event starts from about $305 before tax. The unit is larger, with a ground-level floor, grab bars and room for a wheelchair to turn. Delivery and pickup are included in Beaufort County.

How much is a flushing porta potty with a sink?

A deluxe flushing porta potty with a sink starts from about $375 before tax for an event. The unit has a foot-pump flush and a hand sink with its own fresh-water tank. Delivery and pickup in Beaufort County are part of that price.

What do restroom trailers cost to rent for a weekend?

A 2-stall restroom trailer starts from about $1,200 for an event weekend, and a 3-stall trailer from about $1,650. Trailers need a nearby outlet and water. Your quote lists delivery, setup and pickup before you book.

How much is a hand washing station?

A hand wash station starts from about $225 when rented by itself. The price drops when you add a station to a toilet order on the same delivery. Each station has two sinks, soap and towels.

Is delivery and pickup included in the price?

Delivery and pickup are included in event pricing anywhere in Beaufort County. Jobsite and monthly rentals carry a one-time delivery and pickup fee set by distance, with Beaufort County at the low end. Farther cities get a delivery fee quoted by ZIP.

Why does a porta potty cost more in Charleston or Columbia than in Beaufort?

Delivery costs more in Charleston, Columbia and other farther cities because our trucks run from the Beaufort yard. Charleston is about an hour and 25 minutes away (see Charleston porta potty rentals), and Columbia about two hours and 15 minutes. We quote that delivery fee by ZIP code before you book.

Is one day cheaper than renting for the whole weekend?

A one-day rental and a weekend rental usually cost the same, because the event price covers up to four days. Most of the cost is the delivery, the pickup and cleaning the unit. Keeping the unit an extra day or two adds nothing in Beaufort County.

Do you charge a deposit to hold a porta potty?

We don't hold a separate security deposit on standard rentals. The card or account on your e-signed rental agreement covers the order, and damage beyond normal use is billed only if it happens. Large festival or trailer orders may be billed in parts, and we explain that up front.

Are there any hidden fees I should know about?

Every quote lists the unit, dates, servicing, delivery, pickup and tax before you book. A same-day rush fee of about $75 may apply on full-route days, and we always quote that first. Extra charges only come from things like damage, lost units or a truck turned away at a gate.

Do I have to pay sales tax on a porta potty rental?

Sales tax is added to most rentals in South Carolina. Churches, nonprofits and government groups with a valid tax-exempt certificate can send it to us before billing. We then remove the tax from the invoice.

Can I pay with a credit card or company card?

Credit cards and company cards are both accepted for every rental. Approved commercial accounts can also pay by invoice. The card on file is charged when the order is booked, or each 28-day cycle for monthly rentals.

Do you give a better price if I rent several units?

Larger orders often get a lower price per unit, because the delivery and pickup are shared across the order. Festivals, multi-unit jobsites and builders with several homes should ask for a combined quote. Tell us the unit count and dates and we will price it out.

Does it cost extra to keep a porta potty at a job for two months?

A two-month jobsite rental is billed as two 28-day cycles, at about $200 to $290 per cycle with weekly service. The one-time delivery and pickup fee is charged once, not every cycle. That makes the first cycle a bit higher than the second.

How do I get an exact price for my address?

An exact price takes your ZIP code, dates, unit type and quantity. Call (843) 268-6920 and we can quote you in a couple of minutes. The porta potty cost guide also lays out starting prices for every unit.

Events, parties and weddings

Event units arrive the day before, clean and stocked, and we pick them up Monday at no extra charge. Plan one standard unit per 50 guests for about four hours. Weddings often add a restroom trailer, an ADA-style unit and a hand wash station near the food.

How many porta potties do I need for a backyard party of 75 people?

Two standard porta potties cover a 75-person backyard party of about four hours, based on guests times hours divided by 200. Add one more if you are serving beer or the party runs into the night. A hand wash station near the food helps too. Use the porta potty calculator for other guest counts.

How many toilets does a 200-person outdoor wedding need?

A 200-guest outdoor wedding over five hours needs about 5 standard units, using guests times hours divided by 200, or a 3-stall restroom trailer plus a couple of standard units. An open bar or a long reception pushes the count higher. Add at least one ADA-style unit if guests may use wheelchairs or walkers.

When will the porta potty show up for my Saturday party?

Units for a Saturday party usually arrive on Friday, and a Saturday-morning drop also works. Arriving early lets you see the spot before guests come. The driver calls about 30 minutes ahead on delivery day.

When do you come pick up the units after a weekend event?

Weekend event units are picked up on Monday at no extra charge. You don't need to be home for pickup. Just leave the unit where the driver set it, with a clear path for the truck.

Can the porta potty be hidden so it doesn't show up in wedding photos?

Units can be placed behind a hedge, beside a barn or around the side of a house as long as the truck can still reach within about 25 feet. Point the door toward the guests and away from the photo spots. Lattice or a pipe-and-drape screen also works well.

Is a restroom trailer a good idea for a plantation or barn wedding?

A restroom trailer suits plantation and barn weddings well, since guests get flushing toilets, sinks and lights. The site needs a 110-volt outlet nearby and water from a hose or the onboard tank. Our wedding restroom rentals page covers setup.

Do I need a porta potty for an oyster roast at my house?

An oyster roast with more than 20 or so guests is a good time to add a porta potty, since beer and a long afternoon add up. A hand wash station near the shucking table helps a lot. Read our oyster roast restroom guide for more.

How many porta potties for a festival with 1,000 people?

A festival of 1,000 people over six hours needs about 30 units, using our planning rule of guests times hours divided by 200. Our festival porta potty plans keep at least 5% of each cluster as ADA-style units, and hand wash stations go near food. Beer sales push that number up. We help plan the layout on your site map.

Can you service the porta potties in the middle of a three-day festival?

Multi-day festivals can add mid-event service, where we pump, clean and restock each unit between days. We usually schedule the visit early in the morning before gates open. The service is priced into your festival quote.

Should I get a hand washing station if a food truck is coming?

A hand wash station near the food truck line is a good idea, and many events need one. Food trucks bring their own sinks for staff, but guests need a place to wash up too. Stations run from about $225 alone, or less with a toilet order.

Can I rent a porta potty for a graduation party or baby shower?

A porta potty works well for graduation parties, showers, birthdays and family reunions. A deluxe flushing unit with a sink is a nice step up when guests dress up. Event pricing covers up to four days with delivery and pickup.

Who keeps the restroom trailer clean during a wedding reception?

Restroom trailers arrive clean and stocked, and a typical wedding needs no cleaning during the reception. For a long event, ask a member of the venue staff to check paper and soap once or twice. We can add an attendant or mid-event service on larger orders.

How early should I book restrooms for a spring or fall wedding?

Book restroom trailers for spring and fall weddings in the Lowcountry two to six months ahead. Standard units can be booked later, but popular weekends still fill. Locking in your date early keeps your first-choice unit.

Can our wedding planner handle delivery details with you?

Your wedding planner can be the delivery contact once you add the planner's name and number to the order. The driver will call the planner about 30 minutes ahead. You still sign the rental agreement and handle payment.

Event restroom rentals

Construction and jobsite toilets

Jobsite porta potties run about $200 to $290 per 28-day cycle with weekly pump-out, cleaning and restocking. OSHA 1926.51 calls for one toilet for 20 or fewer workers and more as crews grow. Hand wash stations, extra service and locks are available.

How many porta potties does OSHA require on a construction site?

OSHA 29 CFR 1926.51 Table D-1 calls for one toilet for 20 or fewer workers. Crews of 20 to 199 need one seat and one urinal per 40 workers, and crews of 200 or more need one per 50. Our OSHA jobsite toilet guide breaks it down.

How many toilets does a 35-man framing crew need?

A 35-person crew falls in OSHA's 20-to-199 range, which calls for one seat and one urinal per 40 workers. One standard unit with a urinal meets that minimum, but two units cut down on waiting and smell in summer. Confirm details with your site safety lead.

Does a small residential remodel need a porta potty for the workers?

A remodel crew needs a toilet when the house bathroom is torn out or off-limits to workers. One standard unit with weekly service covers a crew of up to about 10. Homeowners in older Beaufort homes often prefer that crews don't track through the house.

Do I need a hand wash station on a job site?

OSHA 1926.51(f) calls for handwashing facilities where workers handle paint, coatings or other harmful materials. Many builders add a station on every site to keep crews healthy. A hand wash station adds about 400 washes per fill.

Can a subcontractor rent the porta potty instead of the general contractor?

Either the general contractor or a sub can rent the unit, as long as one company signs the rental agreement and handles billing. Builders with several subs on site often put the toilet on the GC account. Each unit can be tagged with the company name.

Can you put a unit on my job before the building permit is posted?

A porta potty can go on a lot before the permit is posted, since many jobs start clearing and layout early. Give us the lot address or a map pin and mark the spot. Check with your inspector on site setup rules.

Can I add more toilets as my crew grows?

Extra units can be added at any time and put on the same weekly service day. Tell us the new crew count and we will match it to the OSHA table. Removing units when the crew shrinks works the same way.

Can one account cover porta potties on several jobs at once?

One builder account can cover units on many jobs and billing can come on one invoice. Each site is listed by address, and every unit gets weekly service on a set route. Subdivision builders in Bluffton and Okatie often run it this way.

Can you deliver to a job on a military base like Parris Island or MCAS Beaufort?

Base deliveries are possible for contractors with an active project, but base access rules come first. Your company handles the sponsor and vehicle pass process for our driver. Call us with the contract details before booking.

Can the porta potty be moved to another spot on the same job?

Our driver can move a unit to a new spot on the same site during a service visit. Ask ahead so the move fits the route. Moving the unit yourself risks spills and damage to the unit.

Do you provide toilets for plant shutdowns or industrial outages?

Plant shutdowns and outages get many units, hand wash stations and service as often as daily. A 150-worker crew needs at least four units under OSHA, and most sites order more. See industrial portable restrooms for planning.

Do farm crews need porta potties out in the field?

OSHA 1928.110 calls for one toilet and one handwashing facility per 20 field workers, within a quarter-mile walk. Units can move with crews from field to field. Farms around St. Helena Island and Walterboro use this setup in season.

Can our toilet be set up near the road for a roadside crew?

A unit can sit beside a roadside job as long as it is off the travel lane, on firm ground and safe for the truck to service. Your traffic control plan and the road owner set the rules. We service the unit on its weekly day like any other site.

Does a one-week job still need a portable toilet?

A one-week job still needs a toilet under OSHA if no other facility is close by. A short-term rental covers the week at event-style pricing in Beaufort County. Longer jobs move to the 28-day monthly rate.

Construction site toilets

Servicing, cleaning and odor

Jobsite and monthly units get weekly service: pump-out, wash-down, disinfecting, fresh deodorizer and new paper and sanitizer. Event units arrive sanitized and stocked. Extra visits or twice-weekly service help in summer heat. Keep the door closed, the vent clear and the unit in shade to cut odor.

What happens during a weekly porta potty service?

A weekly porta potty service includes pumping the tank, washing down the inside, disinfecting all surfaces, adding fresh deodorizer and restocking toilet paper and sanitizer. The driver also checks the door, latch and vent. The visit takes about 10 to 15 minutes per unit.

What day of the week will my unit get cleaned?

Each jobsite unit gets a set service day based on our route for your area. That day is confirmed after delivery and stays the same week to week. Let us know if a certain day works better for your crew or an inspection.

Can I get my porta potty cleaned twice a week?

Twice-weekly service is available for busy crews, summer heat and large events. The second visit is added to your monthly bill. Many Lowcountry sites switch to twice-weekly summer service for July and August, then drop back to weekly.

Why does a porta potty smell worse in the summer?

Heat speeds up the breakdown of waste, so a porta potty smells stronger in Lowcountry summers. A full tank, a closed vent or direct sun make it worse. Extra service, a shady spot and keeping the door shut help the most.

How do you keep a porta potty from stinking at a party?

A porta potty stays fresher when it starts clean, sits in shade and has the door closed between uses. We add deodorizer to the tank before every event. For a big crowd, add a second unit so no single tank gets overloaded.

Is it okay to spray air freshener inside the unit?

A light spray of air freshener is fine, but don't pour cleaners, bleach or chemicals into the tank. Those products can upset the deodorizer and make pumping harder. Ask us for an extra service visit if odor is a real problem.

How can I tell when the tank is getting full?

A tank is getting full when the waste level is within a few inches of the seat or the smell gets much stronger. Call us before it reaches the top. We can add a service visit, often the same or next day in Beaufort County.

What if we run out of toilet paper between services?

Running out of toilet paper means the unit is busier than expected, so call and we will restock it. Big crews often keep a few spare rolls on site. A second unit or a second weekly visit may fit your crew better.

Do event units get cleaned before they come to my house?

Every event unit is pumped, washed, disinfected and restocked before it leaves our yard. You get fresh paper, sanitizer and deodorizer in the tank. The unit is ready to use the moment the driver sets it down.

Can I get an extra cleaning before a site inspection or open house?

An extra service visit can be added before an inspection, open house or walkthrough. Give us the date and we will fit the visit into the route. The extra visit is quoted before we schedule it.

Is a flushing porta potty less smelly than a regular one?

A deluxe flushing unit usually smells less because the flush moves waste out of sight into the tank. The tank still needs regular service. For weddings and showers, the deluxe unit is a nice step up.

Does the hand wash station get refilled during service?

Hand wash stations on jobsite routes get refilled with fresh water, soap and towels on each service visit, and the gray water tank is emptied. Busy summer sites may need refills more often. Event stations arrive full and are good for about 400 washes.

Summer heat servicing tips

Monthly and long-term rentals

Monthly porta potty rentals run on a 28-day cycle at about $200 to $290 per cycle with weekly service. A one-time delivery and pickup fee is set by distance. Rentals renew each cycle until you call to end them, and billing is by card or invoice.

How much is a porta potty per month for a home build?

A standard porta potty for a home build runs about $200 to $290 per 28-day cycle, with weekly service included. There is also a one-time delivery and pickup fee based on distance. Beaufort County sites sit at the low end of that range.

What does 'monthly' mean on your bill, 30 days or 28?

Monthly rentals are billed on a 28-day cycle, not a calendar month. Each cycle includes four weekly service visits. The next cycle starts on day 29 unless you have asked for pickup.

If I only need the unit for 10 days on a job, do I pay a full month?

A 28-day cycle is not prorated, so a 10-day jobsite rental pays a full cycle. For short jobs, event-style pricing may cost less. Tell us the dates and we will price both ways.

Do I have to sign a long contract for a monthly unit?

Monthly rentals run cycle by cycle with no long-term contract. You e-sign one rental agreement at the start, and the rental keeps going until you call for pickup. That fits jobs whose end dates move.

Will my monthly rate change after the first month?

The first cycle costs more because it carries the one-time delivery and pickup fee. Later cycles bill at the regular monthly rate. Extra service visits or added units are the main things that change the bill.

Can I keep a porta potty at my hunting camp for the whole season?

A hunting camp unit can stay all season on our monthly plan, with service set to match how often the camp is used. Many clubs around Sheldon, Yemassee and Ridgeland keep a unit from fall through winter. Our seasonal porta potty rentals page explains the setup.

Can I put my rental on hold if the job stops for a few weeks?

A paused job can keep the unit on site at the normal rate, or we can pick it up and bring it back later. If the stop is longer than one cycle, pickup and redelivery often cost less. Call us and we will compare the two.

Can a porta potty stay at a vacation rental or beach house for the summer?

A unit can stay at a rental home or beach house all summer on a 28-day cycle with weekly service. That works well during a long remodel. Check HOA rules first, since many Hilton Head and Fripp communities limit where it can sit.

Can I switch from weekly to every-other-week service to save money?

Weekly service is the standard on monthly rentals, because a unit used daily fills in about a week. Lightly used units, like a hunting camp unit, can sometimes run on a lighter schedule. Tell us how many people use it and how often.

How do I end my monthly porta potty rental?

Call (843) 268-6920 or email the office to end a monthly rental. We schedule pickup, usually within a few business days. Billing stops at the end of the current 28-day cycle.

Can my monthly unit switch to a deluxe or ADA-style unit later?

Swapping a monthly unit for a deluxe or ADA-style unit is easy on a service day. The new unit's rate starts on the swap date. Swaps are common when a project moves from framing to finish work or a client walkthrough.

Pickup, extensions and cancellations

Cancel for free up to 48 hours before delivery. Between 48 and 24 hours, you get a 50% refund, and inside 24 hours or after a same-day truck leaves there is no refund. Event units are picked up Monday at no charge, and rentals can be extended by phone.

What's your cancellation policy?

Cancellations are free up to 48 hours before delivery. Between 48 and 24 hours, you get a 50% refund. Inside 24 hours, or once a same-day truck has been dispatched, there is no refund. The full policy is on our rental terms page.

If the party gets rained out, can I cancel and get my money back?

A rain-out cancellation more than 48 hours before delivery gets a full refund. Closer to the date, the normal 50% or no-refund rules apply. Moving the party to a new date is often the better choice, and we can shift the order.

Can I keep the porta potty a few extra days after the party?

An event rental covers up to four days, so most weekend parties have room to spare. Need it longer? Call before the pickup date and we will extend the rental. Longer stays move to a weekly or 28-day rate.

Do I need to call to have the unit picked up?

Event units are picked up on the scheduled date, usually Monday, without a call. Monthly and jobsite units need a call to end the rental. Give us a few business days of notice for the pickup.

Can you pick up the porta potty the same night the event ends?

Same-night pickup is not standard, since our trucks run 7 AM to 7 PM and not on Sundays. Weekend event units are picked up on Monday at no extra charge. If you need the unit gone sooner, ask and we will check the route.

What if our job finishes early?

Call as soon as the job wraps and we will schedule pickup. The current 28-day cycle is billed in full since cycles are not prorated. No new cycle starts once pickup is requested.

Can I change my order after I book, like adding a sink?

Orders can be changed after booking, including adding a hand wash station, another unit or switching unit types. Let us know before the truck is loaded, ideally 48 hours ahead. We will send an updated quote.

Can I extend a rental from a weekend to a full month?

A weekend rental can become a monthly rental when plans change. The unit stays where it is, and we start a 28-day cycle with weekly service. Just call before the scheduled pickup.

Do I need to be home when you pick up the unit?

Nobody needs to be home for pickup. Leave the unit where the driver set it and keep the path open for the truck. Unlock the door if you added a padlock.

What if the unit is locked or blocked by cars on pickup day?

A locked or blocked unit means the driver can't collect it, which may lead to a return-trip charge. Clear the path and remove any padlock before pickup day. Call us if plans change so we can adjust the route.

What if my event gets bigger after I've booked?

Extra units can be added to a booked event as long as we have them free on that date. Call as soon as your guest count grows. Adding units early makes the delivery much easier to plan.

Is there a minimum rental period?

The shortest rental is one day, but event pricing covers up to four days for the same price. Jobsite and monthly rentals run on a 28-day cycle. Most people find the four-day event window covers a full weekend.

Weather and hurricane season

Hurricane season runs June through November in the Lowcountry. Before a named storm, we pick up event units, secure jobsite units or remove them, and redeliver once roads clear. Rain alone doesn't stop delivery. Keep units off low spots that flood at high tide.

What do you do with porta potties when a hurricane is headed for Beaufort?

Before a hurricane, we pick up event units and either remove or tie down jobsite units, based on the forecast and site. We contact customers as soon as a storm is named for our area. Read hurricane season porta potty planning for details.

Can I ask you to remove my jobsite unit before a storm hits?

Jobsite units can be pulled before a storm when you call early. Requests pile up quickly once a watch is posted, so call as soon as you decide. We redeliver once roads are open.

Does a storm pickup start a new rental cycle when the unit comes back?

A storm pickup does not start a new billing cycle on its own. The return delivery goes back on your current account. We will explain any cost changes before redelivery.

How soon after a hurricane can you bring porta potties?

Porta potty delivery after a hurricane starts once roads and bridges are safe. Recovery crews, shelters and job sites get the first runs. Call early to get on the list.

Will rain stop you from delivering?

Rain does not stop delivery, but very soft ground may change where the unit goes. Our driver will set the unit on the nearest firm spot. Lightning or flooded roads can cause short delays.

Can a porta potty tip over in high wind?

A porta potty can tip in strong wind, especially when the tank is empty. Units placed beside a wall or fence ride out wind better. For storm season, ask about staking or tying down long-term jobsite units.

What if my street floods on delivery day?

Flooded streets delay delivery until the water goes down, since trucks can't safely pass. King tides in the Lowcountry often clear within a few hours. We will call to reschedule.

Where should the unit go on a lot that floods during heavy rain?

Place the unit on the highest firm ground near the drive, away from ditches and low spots. A flooded unit can lean and leak. Burton and St. Helena lots often have a raised driveway pad that works well.

What happens to my rental if a storm knocks the unit over?

Call us right away if a storm tips your unit, and keep people away from it. We will right, clean or swap the unit as soon as roads allow. Weather damage is handled case by case.

Is it safe to book an outdoor event in hurricane season?

Events in hurricane season are booked every year in the Lowcountry. Book as usual, watch the forecast and use our 48-hour free cancellation window if a storm threatens. Moving the date is often easiest of all. The hurricane season tips story sums it up.

Damage, safety and rules

Keep only human waste and toilet paper in the tank. Don't move, tip or burn near the unit, and keep it away from grills, fire pits and fireworks. Padlocks are fine if the driver can unlock the unit. Report damage or vandalism right away.

What can't go in a porta potty tank?

Only human waste and toilet paper belong in a porta potty tank. Keep out diapers, wipes, feminine products, food, trash, paint and chemicals. Those items clog the pump hose and can bring a cleanup charge.

Can I put a padlock on the porta potty overnight?

A padlock is fine on a jobsite unit, as long as our driver can get in on service day. Leave the unit unlocked or share the code before the service visit. A locked unit that can't be serviced may trigger a return trip charge.

Who pays if someone tips the unit over or damages it?

The renter is responsible for damage beyond normal use, including tipping, burns and vandalism. Report damage right away so we can clean or swap the unit fast. Charges are explained on the rental agreement.

How do I keep vandals away from a jobsite toilet?

Placing the unit near lights, away from the road and facing the site makes vandalism less likely. A padlock after hours helps too. Call us right away if the unit is damaged so we can swap it.

Can a porta potty go near a fire pit or grill?

A porta potty should stay well away from fire pits, grills, smokers and fireworks. The plastic shell can melt or catch fire. Keep at least 20 feet of distance from any open flame.

Can I move the porta potty after the driver sets it?

Moving the unit yourself is not a good idea, since a stocked unit is heavy and can spill. Tipping a unit even a little can splash the tank. Call us and we can move the unit on a service visit.

Is it safe for kids to use a porta potty?

A porta potty is safe for kids with an adult nearby, especially younger children. The seat is higher than a home toilet, and the door locks from inside. A deluxe or ADA-style unit gives a little more room for a parent to help.

Can a porta potty go inside a garage or shed?

A porta potty should stay outdoors, not inside a garage or shed. The vent needs open air, and our truck needs to reach the unit for service. A spot beside the garage works well.

Can I empty my RV or camper into the porta potty?

Porta potty tanks are not made for RV or camper waste. Dumping from an RV can overfill the tank and cause spills. Ask about our RV and camper portable toilet options instead.

Is there a charge if your truck can't get to my site?

A return-trip charge may apply if the truck is turned away at a gate or can't reach a safe spot. We will call first to try to fix the problem. Clear directions and a marked spot keep that from happening.

Does a porta potty on my own property need a permit?

A porta potty on private property usually needs no permit, but a unit on a street, sidewalk or public space may need one. Historic areas and HOAs can have extra rules. Confirm with the city or county permit office.

Can men and women share porta potties at a job site?

Men and women can share single-occupant porta potties on a job site, since each unit locks from inside. OSHA counts total toilets by crew size. Some sites add a separate unit to give workers more privacy.

Rental terms and care rules

Ordering, paperwork and accounts

Ordering takes a few minutes by phone at (843) 268-6920, Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM. We need your address or ZIP, dates, unit type and count. You e-sign a short rental agreement, and we take card payment or invoice approved commercial accounts.

What information do you need to book a porta potty?

Booking a porta potty takes the delivery address, dates, unit type, number of units and a contact name and phone number. Add any gate codes or placement notes for the driver. We then send a short rental agreement to e-sign.

Is there a rental agreement I have to sign?

Every rental has a short rental agreement you e-sign by email or text. The agreement lists the unit, dates, price, service and care rules. You can read the full rental terms before you book.

Can my church or nonprofit rent tax-free?

Churches and nonprofits with a valid South Carolina tax-exempt certificate can rent without sales tax. Send a copy of the certificate before billing. We remove the tax from the invoice once we have it.

Can I get an invoice instead of paying by card?

Invoice billing is available for approved commercial accounts, like builders, contractors and plants. Homeowners and one-time event renters pay by card. Ask for an account setup when you call or through our contact page.

Will you list our purchase order number on each bill?

Your purchase order number can go on every invoice for a job. Give it to us when you book, along with the billing address and contact email. We can also split invoices by site or project.

Can I send the invoice to a different email than mine?

Invoices can go to any email you choose, like your office manager or accounts payable. Just give us the email when you book. Delivery notes can still go to the on-site contact.

Are you the company that actually delivers, or a broker?

Austin Rental Works owns its units and runs its own trucks out of our Beaufort yard. We are not a broker that hands your order to another company. The same team books, delivers and services your rental. Learn more about us.

Can I see a porta potty before I rent it?

Photos of each unit type are on our rental pages, and you can stop by the yard at 1100 Middleton St in Beaufort during business hours. Call ahead so someone is free to show you. That's handy for weddings choosing a trailer.

Can a property manager book a porta potty for a rental home?

A property manager can book, pay and set up gate access for a rental home. List the manager as the contact on the order. That works well for remodels and repairs on Hilton Head and Fripp.

What are your office hours?

Our office and trucks run Monday through Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM. We are closed on Sundays, with no Sunday delivery or pickup. Call (843) 268-6920 during those hours for a quote or same-day order.

Do you rent other things besides porta potties?

We focus on portable sanitation: porta potties, deluxe flushing units, ADA-style units, hand wash stations, VIP cabins and restroom trailers. We don't rent tents, tables or chairs. Your event planner or a party rental company can cover those items.
